Breakfast chez nous
San Francisco summer means fog fog and more fog, while just across the bridge we found sun sun and more sun. Love this picture. I hate to fall back on stereotypes but the best way to get a good picture is to ask a usually Asian guy with the biggest lens to take it.
Getting some kayaking tips from the rental guy at Sea Trek in Sausalito
Our intrepid water people. Karen and Samaia on one kayak, Jaden on his own, and Pierre already out on the water with his Stand Up Paddle board (SUP).
Jaden is an awesome oarsman and navigator, even with the wind
Pierre on the SUP board
Pretty good for his first time
Jaden is the cutest kayaker
Did I say cute?
Pierre and I venture out into the open waters beyond the little sheltered pier. That's Mount Tamalpais in the distance
I'm working on my windswept hair
Pierre with the Sausalito hills behind him to the left and Tamalpias to the right
Karen on her first SUP board. The beautiful Sausalito hills behind her.
Pretty good despite the winds picking up
There were beach babes too - oh wait, that's Samaia! :)
Samaia makes Saucalito harbour look like St Tropez
Go Habs Go! Just before the climb to the bridge and back into our fair foggy city
Little break on inspiration point, after climbing up Presidio blvd. The dome is the palace of fine arts, and in the foggy distance is the fabled Alcatraz which our visitors didn't get to see - need to book a tour well in advance. Next time.
Dead fish rock band debut
